Our portfolio includes devices for thawing and warming plasma (FFP), blood and cell material (depends on domestic regulations). Barkey devices are used in more than 60 countries in blood banks, hospitals, research institutes and therapy manufacturing processes.

Heat technology from research to application

As a company, we have been committed to warmth for over 40 years. Originally, the portfolio included products only for hospitals and blood banks designed to prevent hypothermia while keeping the risk of contamination as low as possible. This is one of the reasons why all our products, such as the plasmatherm, use dry-temperature processes.

With further development of therapeutic procedures, especially in life science research for the treatment and cure of cancer, Barkey products have been adapted to the needs of the industry. Our thawing equipment meets high standards and regulations. We ensure a reliable process that is valued in the pharmaceutical industry.

Our goal is to manufacture products that can be used throughout the entire technology transfer, i.e. starting with the first stages of research and ending with standardized application on patients.

Our product lines

Cell & Gene

Our expertise on thawing and warming blood and blood products are adapted to the needs of Cell & Gene therapy research. The Barkey plasmatherm C&G and the Barkey varitherm are precise dry temperature control devices for the development of new cell and gene therapies. These can aid in the treatment of cancer by the activation of the immune system, among others.
